Treasure Trove is a secondhand bookstore that sells its collection at various local markets. The brand concept centres on a pirate theme, where the books themselves are the treasure, a metaphor that felt both playful and fitting for the nature of the store. The logo and treasure chest illustration were hand-sketched and then vectorized, while the paper aesthetic was crafted using a combination of textures and a torn-edge technique.

Process

The images below document the various stages of this project's development. The logo proved particularly challenging, with numerous concepts discarded at different stages before arriving at the final design. While the treasure chest was initially intended to remain as a hand-drawn illustration, the vector rendition proved more effective and was ultimately chosen for the final outcome.
